CIHANGIR - CUKURCUMA - The slope of the hill between Istiklal Caddesi and the Bosphorus is a calm antidote to Beyoğlu’s rush. An afternoon’s wandering will take you through antiques shops and literary museums, neighbourhood cafés and restaurants, excellent boutiques for food and fashion, and the heart of Istanbul’s contemporary art scene. Cihangir, at the top of the hill, is Beyoğlu’s more resdential other half.
Boncuk Meyhane is located at the famous and popular Nevizade Sokak, which is just off the Istiklal Caddesi. Nevizade Sokak is one of the best places in the world for a boisterous evening meal and people-watching. Boncuk is a great choice on this street.
