Moszna Castle - Moszna, Poland / Dating back to the century the castle is eclectic architecturally. In 1945 the last private residents had to leave and the castle was occupied by the Red Army. Renovated and well kept, it has 395 rooms and 99 turrets.

Barr Castle, Renfrewshire - It was built by the Glen family but passed in the late century to the Hamiltons of Ferguslie. A door lintel has a date of 1680 and the initials L. It was abandoned in the century in favour of a new house.
