Maja Satz viking dress, from Sysidan

Maja Satz viking dress, from Sysidan - It says it's a viking style dress, but I would totally wear this.

Inspiration - pretty colors, nice accessories, simple decoration. More

My Hedeby dress in woad dyed twill is finished. Handsewn with waxed linen thread. I love the way the double side panels ended up. Here seen together with a York cap in wool, an apron dress and my new bag based on the wooden Birka handles. The drinking vessel is also Birka.

A differant interpretation of a Viking apron dress, but one that I don't think is well documented or supported. Still, the embroidery is STUNNING, and more can be seen by clicking.

Viking wool dresses - site not in English, but the pictures can be useful. Interesting interpretation of Flemming Bau's open-fronted apron dress idea.
