Janelle Martin: I was paging through Japanese stitch dictionaries and found the main pattern used in this shawl. It reminded me of an Egyptian cartouche and I visualized it in a deeper vibrant red, the colour of life and victory for Ancient Egyptians.
Ravelry: Catoctin Shawl pattern by Dee O'Keefe --- and actually not only have already started but almost done! Mine is in a baby boy blue sport weight cotton; hopefully will be great for summer when the A/C is drafting on the neck.
