This is the Rebel Commando loadscreen keyframe for Kabam's Star Wars: Uprising. Art direction was to have them feel very "SEAL team 6". Not sure if that comes across, but it was pretty fun to paint. Also thought it would be cool if they recently took down an AT-AT because the barren wasteland of the background desperately needed some visual interest. Costumes designed by Dave McNeal.

These organisers can help you visualise the structure and meaning of what can sometimes seem messy and random.

This piece demonstrates composition. The placement of each tree and mountain, as well as the river, shows that the artist put thought into each subject of their work, and placed them in such a way that they work together harmoniously to create a scene. The river is an example. The way it twists and turns is attractive to the eye. The artist thought about the way it would interact with each piece of their work, and chose that shape for maximum visual interest, instead of just making it…
