Dinosaurs roamed among pine trees in the Arctic 100 million years ago, scientists reveal

Scientists have discovered a new horned dinosaur. The newly identified genus, Koreaceratops hwaseongensis, lived about 103 million years ago during the late Early Cretaceous period. The specimen is the first ceratopsian dinosaur from the Korean peninsula.

Pending further discoveries, Spinosaurus was the world's largest carnivorous dinosaur. Full-grown adults outweighed Tyrannosaurus Rex by about a ton and Giganotosaurus by about half a ton. Since so few Spinosaurus fossils are extant, it's possible that other individuals were even larger.
