."Lucky Suit Jumpsuit" started doing the rounds in 1972. Elvis wore it with a matching white lined cape, but when it was worn again during the August/September Vegas engagement, a new cape was made for it. This time the lining was silver. There was also a light blue version made of the "Lucky Belt", which Elvis used with the "Turquoise Phoenix" in 1974.

Elvis first started wearing the king suit at the end of his 1973 August/September Las Vegas engagement. After that he wore it again during the first months of 1974. Most notably, he wore it during his famous Memphis concert (March 20th, 1974) that RCA recorded. That's also where the fans got the nickname for this suit; the "Memphis Suit".
