Africa | he Zangbeto is a traditional voodoo guardian of the night, originally created to scare the enemy away, now he will wander around the street to detect thieves and witches, and dispensing justice. We encountered him on the side of the road during our drive across the country. Legend tells that there are no humans under the costume, only spirits of the night. The zangbeto is revered by all, and has magical powers to scare witches. | ©Gret Howard
