BROADSANDS BEACH, Ilfracombe, Devon, [ENGLAND] #wildbeach. Owned by Watermouth Valley Camping this crescent-shaped lagoon is not to be confused with Broadsands in Torbay. With caves and a rugged headland covered in lush vegetation this beach wouldn't look out of place in the Indian ocean. Access is by a dirt path and steep steps. In spring the cliffs are awash with wild grasses and garlic, but the beach is best in summer for maximum sunshine as it's north-facing. [© Neville Stanikk]

Lundy island off the north coast of Devon. Great day trip from Bideford, Clovelly or Ilfracombe (image by guest-travel-writers.com)

Lundy island, off the north coast of Devon, encompasses a small village with an inn, a Victorian church and the Marisco Castle; great for a day trip!

Watermouth Valley, Ilfracombe: Between Exmoor and Ilfracombe, on a cliff at the edge of Watermouth Cove, this site has amazing sea and sunset views from every pitch. Its sheltered private sandy beach has beautiful clear water. It's great for walking – the South West Coast Path runs through the site, and there's a pub round the corner.
