Glow sticks in the pool, great for night swimming! Not sure this would be the best idea for a big in ground pool (would probably take a couple hundred sticks), but would definitely be cool in a kid pool or an above ground pool!
In a small Ziplock bag: cup half and half (milk works too), 1 Tbsp sugar, 1 tsp vanilla. Insert that bag into a gallon Ziplock filled with ice and salt. Shake the bag for five minutes. Then remove the smaller bag which should have turned into ice cream!

Homemade Ice Cream in a Bag. This is so much fun for kids. Make sure you use the heavy duty plastic storage bags. We used a little chocolate syrup. Turned out great. It reminds me of making snow ice cream.
