A quick, enjoyable read. While I love Jane Austen, I'm not much for Austen-inspired fiction. This isn't a thinly disguised P&P thankfully. I had some nitpicky issues with some of the cancer and grief plot lines but there was some really good stuff in there about the reality of cancer and caregiving, too. What I liked the most about it was the emphasis on food and cooking, as the main character is a chef. This took the novel in interesting places and provided its backbone.

References to Jane Austen's characters, this is a story of two sisters who try to bridge the gap that seep rates them. Very compelling story of love, loss, relationships, illness.

Attachments: A Novel, Rainbow Rowell. I read this earlier book after I read--and loved--Eleanor & Park. This modern love story unfolds over email, and is sweet, light-hearted, and fun.

Twitterature (August 2013 Edition)

Attachments by Rainbow Rowell: Sweet, quick read. An original, laugh out loud love story that keeps you guessing, sighing, and smiling the whole way.
