One year ago Doklab, on behalf of a number of libraries in the Netherlands started thinking about new ways to display stories, cultural heritage, and historical Images of visitors and historical societies in the library. Recently, many cities and villages have spent a lot of time and effort digitizing their historical-image archives. Already four years ago, however, Doklab was asking itself the question: “what is the best way for libraries to collaborate with such tremendous archives?”

The Radboud University came to us because they were looking for a solution that would make their digital services more visible to the students in the University Library. At Doklab we developed a central data hub that gathers information from a variety of available web services and displays them on an interactive 3D campus map.

For Radboud University we developed an interactive map on a multitouch screen that shows several interactive feeds on a campus map.

The Sports Newspaper application is a unique project in Limburg. Several sports organizations have collaborated with library organizations in realizing a program about sports education.

Doklab developed a multitouch newspaper application for children to create their own newspaper about sports.
