My name is Lucie Kruta and five years ago I got the idea of capturing transformations of my growing children a little more creatively. I started to take pictures of my kids in the style of famous paintings. The first photograph was actually a coincidence.
No matter the circumstances, you still gotta train the creative muscle. It doesn't take a whole lot. You pick an artwork, scoop up the most random stuff around the house, put yourself into a pose, and take a shot. The challenge has gone viral with museums asking people to recreate paintings at home and social media accounts in Spain and Russia sharing their own local takes on it. Check 'em out here and here.
