Saturated color

I’m kind of obsessed with texture. I like to touch different fabrics, yarn, flowers, leaves, rocks, all of it. I’m one of those people at the store who wants to touch all the clothes, pillows, and blankets. I’ve been vert interested in the way color and texture work together in my paintings lately.

The extraordinary brightness and expression of this palette is its strong point, but it also imposes some limitations. For example, when decorating a children's room, it is better not to use such a mix of colors - it will not allow the child either to relax or concentrate. But the very thing - for the design of a children's holiday, say, based on your favorite Disney cartoons.

Big quantity of bright and contrasting colors and is typical for the decoration of national dress of different countries. Each color has its symbolic meaning, thats why its existence is justified in a festive clothes. In daily suits it is desirable to refrain from the usage of all colors of rainbow: blue, red, pink, yellow, orange, burgundy, although one can easily wear such colorful scarves and shawls.

Pastel colors look great when they’re mixed together. Imagine seeing a mural or a scenic view with splashes of mint green, baby blue, light grey, and peach.

Dang, there is a LOT of controversy about what complimentary are. In color theory there are only 3 complimentary colors... the ones across the color wheel from the primary colors. But in art, there are many more complimentary colors you can use! #colortheory
