Zantedeschia aethiopica Called a lily, but a member of the Araceae family U.C. Davis Arboretum Davis, California The Calla lily is also known as Lily of the Nile, Arum lily, and Easter lily. Although it's a popular subject in many North American paintings -- including several by Diego Rivera and Georgia O'Keeffe and many others -- the plant is not native to this continent.
