A little tour of my hometown, Struer! This is however only as it can be seen on the Internet. In reality, of course, Struer is much more impressive with its beautiful location by the Limfjord.
Bronze Age. 44 glas pearls found in a bronze age woman's grave close to Humlum Church. The rich woman was cremated and her ashes, pearls and a gold arm ring were placed in a clay jar and burried at Kongehøj ("King's Hill") just few metres to the west of the far newer churchyard. The glas used to manufacture the pearls origins from Mesopotamia - that is present Iraq. A 3500 years old trail from Humlum to Iraq emmerges!
