1956 NSU PRIMA: In the early 1950s, NSU Motorenwerke AG built scooters under license from the Italian maker, Lambretta. This license ran out in 1955, but NSU continued to build a modified version. The last year of scooter production was 1965. NSU made their first motorcycle in 1901 and by 1905 were making automobiles. The company invested in product development via the racing circuits and produced the first aluminum-bodied vehicle in 1923.
