If you can't quite get your feet off the ground in crow... #YogaTip Place your knees on your elbows, hands on the ground. Lift your hips up up up. Then move your snout forward like a puppy reaching for a food bowl 🐶. Eventually your feet might start to feel light and lift off the ground. Also good to practice outside where falling is less intimidating! #bakasana #adventurebeginsatOM #yogapose #yogawithjane

Here's Twisted Monkey from a different angle, which allows our focus to shift. #YogaTip: Push down with your front hand 🤚🏼, and especially push your index knuckle down. From that connection turn your bicep 💪🏽 forward and out to help externally rotate your upper arm (humerus).  This will help stabilize your shoulder and give you more space for your back bend. #yogatips #adventureyoga #yogamaze #adventurebeginsatOM

Triangle pose is one great way to combat the tightness that comes from walking. #YogaTip: Don't worry about reaching the ground in trikonasana. Another from the #Waterford series. #YogaTip: in his variation of #Trikonasana (aka Triangle) notice that my hand isn't touching the ground, but touching the outside of my shin. One of my students recently said, "Yhe way you make us triangle is hard - we have to use our legs A LOT more", which is partly the point. It also gives you more freedom to turn your torso. Go for it, and thank me later. -S.
