RAF technicians dismantle the Jumo 211B1 engines of Ju 88A-1 B3+DC of Stab 2/KG54 at Blacknore Fort, Portland Head, 2 days after the bomber was claimed by F/O James M Strickland of No 213 Squadron RAF, whilst flying Hurricane Mk I AK-F over Portland Bill at 10.25 on 11 August 1940 following an attack on the nearby naval base. The pilot, Obltn Karl Wette, was badly wounded and captured with his crew.
