The new arrival floor for Pier C is arriving at Copenhagen Airport. The project is based on the existing conditions in Pier C. The new arrivals level on the second floor and the staircase towers will be a natural extension of the existing Pier C.
In 2012 CPH was working on an extension and maintenance project for Pier C, the airport’s hub for intercontinental flights. The project includes two subprojects: extension and maintenance of the passport and security checkpoints on the second floor of Pier C and an extension of the arrivals level on the second floor all the way to the south end of Pier C.
The new Tax-Free Shop is also characterized by its so called stages. The stages have themes that are changing every month. In this picture the stage has been taken over by Anthon Berg - a famous Danish chocolate brand.
One of the mock-ups before we built the new Tax-Free Shop by Heinemann. We love all the symbols and references behind the idea: the mermaid and the great beach stones, reffering to the huge amount of coastline in Denmark and the fairytales of H. C. Andersen.
