Put simply, repetition means the reusing of the same or similar elements throughout your design. Doing so brings a clear sense of unity, consistency, and cohesiveness to your website or printed brochure.As humans, we intuitively look for and expect patterns. As designers, we use repetition to help people find what they are looking for more quickly and easily. In web design, repetition helps users understand how interactive elements work.
What is Design Flow?Design flow is the way that your eye moves or is led around a composition. A design with good flow will lead the viewers’ eye throughout the layout, moving from element to element with ease. As a designer (or a marketing person forced to wear the hat of a designer) you’ll be able to influence the way the viewer will digest your content. You can do this by using a combination of type, line, contrast, color and photography.
Emphasis: The dominance of one or more particular elements that creates a focal point in website design. It is where your eyes instinctively go when you first view the page. Often, a focal point is larger, more colorful, or has more contrast than other elements on the page. Once you’ve established a focal point, try to complement it with other features such as color, form, and texture to guide the viewer throughout the rest of the page.
I almost think this logotype is too simple and too boring. It caught my attention but only at first. Once I looked at it and realized what it was, i was bored with it. There is no color, which if there was it may add to it and help keep it interesting. I think that if there was different thicknesses in the lines it would also help. As is, I think this logotype is just too boring.
