LEROY. A FOUR-TONE GOLD POCKET WATCH. The unusual early form half hunter scalloped case with radial fluting, chased and engraved with applique 4-colour gold fruit and flowers. Case front opening to a white enamel dial with central and outer Turkish chapter rings, and gold Breguet hands. Keywind mercury gilded fusee movement with verge escapement, and pierced and engraved balance bridge, made for the Islamic market, signed on the cuvette and movement “Leroy à Paris, no.5717”, circa 1810.
